Logo and Website for Sioux City Design Works

In an effort to further beautify Sioux City, a group called Sioux City Design Works has been formed to create Urban Design Guidelines that will help guide future development and redevelopment and ensure the future vision of the community is reflected in the physical shape and character of the built environment. New Siouxland Chamber website goes live.

The goal for the new Siouxland Chamber website was to update its look and incorporate an advanced Content Management System for the Chamber employees to completely maintain. The goal was accomplished.

New Intern Sara

Hi, I'm Sara. I'm the new intern at Bass Advertising. This internship will be a great opportunity for me to get my foot in the door to the real world of design. I'm a 2005 graduate of South Sioux City Sr. High. I currently attend the University of South Dakota with a major in graphic design and a minor in english. I had an art showing in the 2007 USD Stillwell exhibit.  I have always enjoyed the field of art, but being here at Bass has made me feel more at home with what I love to do - graphic design. :)

Congratulations to the Sioux City Metro Area for its #1 Ranking from Bass Advertising.

Site Selection magazine has ranked the Sioux CIty Metro Area as the number 1 Metro in the U.S. for Economic Development based on number of projects in communities with a population of under 200,000. Then, when you compare the Sioux City Metro to communities of up to 1,000,000, a ranking of number 9 in the nation would be given. In other words, the Sioux City Metro area is outperforming all but 8 communities that are up to 5 times its size! Bass Advertising is currently working with the Siouxland Initiative to promote this outstanding achievement to any and all who haven't already recognized the amazing vitality and growth that the Sioux City Metro area can provide for their business or industry! Congratulations to all economic developers, city governments, and chamber entities that made this happen!

2nd Annual FreezeFest

We're always in favor of growing the population of young people in Sioux City. The Sioux City Growth Organization (SCGO) is a a group dedicated to that very cause. This year SCGO will hold the 2nd Annual FreezeFest. Bass donated the design of a mascot, a logo and a poster to promote this fun event that is filled with fun winter games. The City of Sioux City Department of Economic Development

The City of Sioux City Department of Economic Development has chosen Bass as their Advertising agency to create and produce a series of marketing materials that will be used as tools to market and advertise Sioux City to potential businesses and industries looking to grow or relocate. According to Austin Bass, creative director, “These materials have such a solid and bold image that once introduced to a potential site selector, Sioux City will stand out in their minds. Then, when they start looking at all of the great economic and quality of life benefits, Sioux City really takes the lead in a very competitive market. Sioux City sells itself! Our job is simply to give the City’s Economic Development Department a brand that feels as great as Sioux City really is.”

Sioux City, IA and South Sioux City, NE Hy-Vee Stores partner with Bass to “step-up” advertising and image efforts. Hy-Vee has been a client of Bass for 4+ years on a job-by-job basis. According to Jim Simmons, store director of the Southern Hills Hy-Vee location, whenever Bass is put into the mix for an advertising promotion, there is an obvious peak in sales that doesn’t happen without them.
